In the news:

For a Saturday, there are a lot of pertinent news stories out there:

Israeli president: Clock ticking on Iran

Israel's president says the international community is closer to pursuing a military solution to the standoff over Iran's nuclear program than a diplomatic one.

The remarks by Shimon Peres to Israel's channel 2 TV Friday were unusual because he is known as a dove and optimist.
The interview comes days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was reported to be seeking ministers' support for a strike against Iran.

US 'absolutely' concerned Israel will attack Iran

The United States fears that Israel may be preparing a strike on Iran over the Islamic Republic's nuclear program, a senior military official told CNN on Friday.

The senior official said that the US was "absolutely" concerned about a potential Israeli attack, and said that the US military is "increasingly vigilant" of activities in both Israel and Iran that could indicate military intentions.

The official also said that while the US had no intention of striking Iran, it was uncertain that Israel would inform America of its intentions should it choose to take out Iran's nuclear facilities. Such an operation would be difficult, the official said, because Iran has "top notch" air defenses.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) obtained satellite pictures of the container at Parchin, near Tehran, and other evidence that lent credence to allegations by IAEA member states that the installation was intended for nuclear-related explosives testing, the sources said.

The IAEA will also reveal evidence that Iran carried out computer modeling of a nuclear weapon, one source said.

US concerned Israel will act alone in Iran

Washington concerned of unilateral action? An American army official on Friday told CNN network that the United States is concerned over the possibility that Israel will attack Iran's nuclear facilities without notifying it first.

Peres: Israel Closer than Ever to Military Action in Iran

President Shimon Peres hinted on Friday that Israel was closer than ever to taking military action to eliminate Iran’s nuclear program.

“It seems Iran is moving closer to having a nuclear weapon,” Peres said. “In the time that remains, we need to turn to the nations of the world and tell them that the time has come to fulfill their promise and their responsibility, which is about more than imposing sanctions.”

Now we see that the UN report may be worse than originally thought:

AP News Break: UN has new Iranian nuke arms claims

The U.N. atomic agency plans to reveal intelligence next week suggesting Iran made computer models of a nuclear warhead and other previously undisclosed details on alleged secret work by Tehran on nuclear arms, diplomats told The Associated Press on Friday.

But the newest compilation of suspected weapons-related work is significant in substance and scope. The diplomats say they will reveal suspicions that have not been previously made public and greatly expand on alleged weapons-related experiments that have been published in previous reports on Iran's nuclear activities.

It also comes as the drumbeat of reports about possible military action against Iran's nuclear facilities intensifies.

Meanwhile, Gaza is still heating up:

Keep Gaza lull, or Israel will attack

Egyptian official says escalation and rocket fire toward Israeli cities could prompt wide military offensive in the Strip; says Cairo's ability to thwart operation limited

A top Egyptian official on Saturday called on Palestinian factions in Gaza to maintain the lull with Israel, and warned that further escalation and rocket fire toward Israeli cities could prompt a military operation in the Strip.

Speaking to London-based al Hayat paper, the official said: "We cannot continue pushing the Israeli side and prevent it from striking Gaza, especially when the other Palestinian factions are not committed to keeping the lull."

The official claimed that internal elements in Jerusalem are trying to push the IDF to give Gaza a hard blow, adding that his country is making efforts to dissuade Israel from mounting an offensive, but even their influence has boundaries.

Also on Saturday, former Shin Bet chief, MK Avi Dichter (Kadima) commented on the recent escalation in the south, saying "Israel will be forced to reconquer Gaza and disband the terror infrastructure if no other political solution is reached with the help of neighboring countries."

We also see this:

Rocket hits southern Israel

The rocket hit Israel after nearly three days of quiet in the south. On Tuesday a rocket exploded in the Eshkol Regional Council.

The fragile ceasefire with Gaza's militant groups was previously breached last week, as several rockets were fired at Israel following a relatively calm morning.

And this (even more 'rumors of war'):

Nasrallah: Hizballah can fight Israel without aid from Iran or Syria

The Lebanese Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah, while inspecting his fighting units in the last two weeks, has briefed commanders on updated operational plans for firing 10,000 rockets at Tel Aviv and Israel's air force and reserve mobilization bases in a surprise attack, DEBKAfile's military sources report

"The Zionist enemy cannot stand up to a salvo on that scale," he told them. "He can't locate our secret launching bases or put a stop to a missile offensive that is sure to determine the war's outcome."
He assured the troops that Hizballah is capable of fighting Israel without Iranian or Syrian help.

To boost morale, Nasrallah reported the arrival of advanced weapons, including anti-tank and anti-air missiles from Libya. DEBKAfile's sources report they were delivered to Lebanon by sea and air freighters from the Libyan capital of Tripoli.

US would be 'satisfied' with Brotherhood win in Egypt

The United States would be "satisfied" should free elections in Egypt produce a victory for the Muslim Brotherhood, AFP reported Friday according to the US's special coordinator for transitions in the Middle East, William Taylor.

Taylor said the US would judge elected parties in the Middle East based "on what they do, and not what they're called," AFP quoted him as saying. He added that he did not meet with Brotherhood officials in his latest visit to Cairo, but would have had he been given the chance.

All while the US turns away from God at an astonishing rate:

Obama Administration Opposes FDR Prayer at WWII Memorial

Republican lawmakers and conservative activists are expressing outrage after the Obama administration announced its objection to adding President Franklin Roosevelt's D-Day prayer to the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The objection was noted during a congressional hearing on Rep. Bill Johnson's, R-Ohio, bill -- the "World War II Memorial Prayer Act of 2011."

"It is unconscionable that the Obama administration would stand in the way of honoring our nation's distinguished World War II veterans," Johnson said. "President Roosevelt's prayer gave solace, comfort and strength to our nation and our brave warriors as we fought against tyranny and oppression."

Roosevelt asked the nation to join him in prayer as U.S. and allied troops launched the invasion that led to the defeat of Nazi Germany. He asked God to give the allied troops courage and faith, saying, "With thy blessing we shall prevail over the unholy forces of our enemy."

But Robert Abbey, the director of the Bureau of Land Management, said any plaque or inscription of the prayer would "dilute" the memorial's central message and therefore "should not be altered."

Occupy Oakland Shut Down A Port Already Struggling For Survival

The Occupiers say they represent the 99%, but when they shut down the Port of Oakland for a day, it was their fellow “ninety-niners” that got the shaft.

There are reports that estimate 11,000 workers lost wages and $4 million dollars in revenue went down the tubes due to the Occupy Oakland shutdown on Wednesday.

While Oakland’s Port may be considered the fifth largest in the U.S., that doesn’t mean business is thriving there, workers are happy and fat cat managers are walking around counting wads of money– not by a long shot.

In fact, the Occupiers really just shut down an embattled, faltering commercial hub that is a source of badly needed jobs in financially embattled Oakland.

Bill Gates Urges Obama to Embrace Global Tax

The report, available on the website of the Gates Foundation, proposes a financial transaction tax (FTT) as well as taxes on tobacco, aviation and bunker fuel, and carbon (energy), by G20 countries and other members of the European Union. The G20 are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, European Union, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Republic of Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

“Bill Gates Backs a Robin Hood Tax” is the title of a video being distributed by the BBC. It is called the “Robin Hood tax” because it is supposedly designed to take from the rich to give to the poor.
In reality, however, the tax will affect ordinary Americans with investments in pension plans and Mutual Funds who buy and sell stocks.

EMP Nightmare: How Iran or North Korea Could destroy America with a Single Bomb

The video link about explains an EMP weapon and the capabilities of such a weapon.

The sad thing about this article is the realization that Iran and North Korea really don't have to do anything to destroy America, as America is doing a perfectly good job of self-destruction; no outside intervention is even necessary.

See this (further revealing the decline of America - from within):

Extreme Poverty Is Now At Record Levels - 19 Statistics That Will Absolutely Astound You

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, a higher percentage of Americans is living in extreme poverty than they have ever measured before. In 2010, we were told that the economy was recovering, but the truth is that the number of the "very poor" soared to heights never seen previously.

Tonight, there are more than 20 million Americans that are living in extreme poverty. This number increases a little bit more every single day. The following statistics that were mentioned in an article in The Daily Mail should be very sobering for all of us...

Maybe this (below) has something to do with it:

The Transformation of Government

Where did governments — at every level — get the idea that they are supposed to manage the affairs of their citizens? Governments were first created in America to serve their citizens. Now, citizens must ask their government for permission to build a house, to drive a car, to open a business, or to buy a gun. The role and authority of government has changed over the years from an entity that serves the needs of its citizens to an entity that manages the affairs of its citizens.

In recent years, especially since the emergence of Agenda 21 in 1992, government has assumed the role of forcing its citizens into lifestyles that government dictates. Agenda 21 is a set of policy recommendations designed to achieve what it defines to be “sustainable development.” The document claims that this transformation of society is necessary to save the planet.

Perhaps more than any other influence, Agenda 21 is responsible for transforming government from a servant of the people to the master of the people. Agenda 21 is the outgrowth of a fundamental transformation of philosophy established in 1976 at the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements.

That conference adopted a document which said:

Land… cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice…. Public control of land use is therefore indispensible.

The United States government accepted and endorsed this document with signatures provided by William K Reilly, who was to become the Administrator of the EPA, and by Carla A. Hills, who was to become U.S. Trade Representative who negotiated the World Trade Organization and the North American Free Trade Agreement.
