The Man Who Killed Osama Bin Laden Speaks Out In A FOX News Interview

Man Who Shot Usama bin Laden Speaks Out In Exclusive Fox News Interview -- FOX News

The former Navy SEAL who shot and killed Usama bin Laden tells Fox News’ Peter Doocy in an exclusive interview that it was "just luck" he ended up being the man to pull the trigger.

In part two of “The Man Who Killed Usama bin Laden," airing Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, Rob O'Neill says it was just chance that he ended up being the shooter in the famous mission at bin Laden's compound in Pakistan in 2011.

He also describes the team's harrowing 90-minute flight back to Afghanistan after completing the raid.

"Eighty-something minutes into it, somebody came over the radio to everybody and said, 'Alright gentleman for the first time in your lives you’re going to be happy to hear this…welcome to Afghanistan,’” he says. “And everyone was like; oh my God…we just did it. We just pulled it off and we got him. And we all lived. We’re all fine. It was insane. So then, there was high-fiving and stuff. Guys were, cause I mean, we got Usama bin Laden and we’re going to live…amazing."

Should The U.S. Navy SEAL Who Killed Osama Bin Laden Make Money From His Death?

Is Rob O’Neill Going To Make Money From Bin Laden’s Death? I Really Do Hope So - Because A Lot Of People Have Made Money Out Of HIM -- Piers Morgan, Daily Mail

A year ago, I hosted a launch party in New York for my new book.

At one stage, a CNN colleague introduced me to a tall, burly, red-headed guy in his mid 30s wearing a navy blue suit and open neck shirt.

‘Meet Rick,’ she said. ‘He’s just left the Navy after 16 years.

He had a vice-like handshake and notably steely eyes.

‘Oh really, well thank you for your service.’

My colleague laughed. ‘You’d be a lot more grateful if you knew exactly what kind of service he’d done.’

‘What do you mean?’

‘Rick was in SEAL Team 6.’

‘Were you on the…’

‘Yes,’ interrupted my colleague, ‘Rick was part of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden.’

My Comment: I cannot speak for Rob O’Neill .... but if I was responsible for the death of Osama Bin Laden, my priority in life would be to find a place far away from everyone .... and pray and hope that I will be left alone.
