'One Giant Leap Towards War'

Today's news can be safely filed under "wars and rumors of war".

So much for the US’ non-existent red line and the numerous UN Security Council resolutions that required Iran to halt nuclear enrichment. Now Iran gets six months to finish their nuclear preparations with no sanctions and in fact, with 4.2 billion dollars in additional aid from the US. We are actively funding and assisting with a planned extermination of the Jewish State. In the last great war, we fought against the NAZIs, who allied with radical Islam. This time around, we have switched sides.

Will President Barack Obama offer the same apology to the Israelis that he has to Americans who held insurance policies they liked: “I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me”? As the implementation of the Iran agreement goes the way of the implementation of Obamacare, will his reaction be to say, “We’re going to have to, obviously, re-market and re-brand”?

The president and his colleagues will presumably say these sorts of things. But of course it will be too late. Congress can legislate to try to make up for the failure of Obama’s assurances about health insurance, and to try to help Americans get their old policies back. But Congress won’t be able to legislate to undo a nuclear Iran. The American people can ignore Obama’s efforts to re-market and re-brand Obamacare, and instead insist on its repeal. But the American people won’t be able to repeal Iran’s nuclear weapons once Iran has them.

My money is always on God’s people. For the first time in my life, I am ashamed to be an American. May God forgive us for what our ruler has wrought.

As my friend Maggie Thornton so aptly put it, Obama and the European leaders have just given the green light to Iran to kill the Jews and I might add, attack the US. This will be war in our time, count on it:

Iran evidently got everything they wanted and more, including money to speed along their evil little venture. I expected this and even I am shocked. Iran never even slowed down. They were confident of the outcome, one way or the other. They are on a mission from their god — one for the Mahdi that ends in blood across the globe. It would seem the leaders of the world are cool with that, especially Obama. In fact, Russia is funding two new nuclear power plants as I write this. You knew the Ruskies were behind Iran, right? I’ve stated it enough on this blog. Russia is using Iran to do its dirty work for them and Obama knows it.

I agree with General Thomas G. McInerney that the US now faces the greatest threat it has seen militarily since 1930 [note: video link to his statements found in link]:

The Jew hatred is ratcheting up in the UN and across Europe. You also see it in the knock out games here in the US and in our government. Now, the United Nations has barred Jews from attending a Monday meeting of the United Nations Division of ‘Palestinian’ Rights reports Adam Kredo at the Washington Free Beacon:

This wretched deal offers one occasion when comparison with Neville Chamberlain in Munich in 1938 is valid. An overeager Western government, blind to the evil cunning of the regime it so much wants to work with, appeases it with concessions that will come back to haunt it. Geneva and Nov. 24 will be remembered along with Munich and Sep. 29.
Barack Obama has made many foreign policy errors in the past five years, but this is the first to rank as a disaster. Along with the health care law, it is one of his worst-ever steps. John Kerry is a too-eager puppy looking for a deal at any price.
With the U.S. government forfeiting its leadership role, the Israelis, Saudis, and perhaps others are left to cope with a bad situation made worse. War has now become a much more likely prospect. Shame on we Americans for re-electing Barack Obama.

As the world charges into the breach of a Neville Chamberlain in Munich in 1938 moment, the US has taken one giant leap towards world war.

The astonishing fact exposed in the report below, that the Obama regime has deployed a protective umbrella around Iran vs. the Israeli-Sunni strike plans...Israelis and the gulf states could quite possibly become the first targets rather then Russia. It still remains to be seen if and how the Israeli-Sunni axis plans to break through the American electronic wall around the Iranian airspace in order to decimate the entire infrastructure of the Uranium-cycle, likewise Plutonium reactors, centrifuges, distilleries, the entire Missile industry and bases: launch and storage of the Mullah regime, which is the only feasible way of truly rolling back the nuclear program.

Israeli personnel in recent days were in Saudi Arabia to inspect bases that could be used as a staging ground to launch attacks against Iran, according to informed Egyptian intelligence officials.
The officials said Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and other Arab and Persian Gulf countries have been discussing the next steps toward possible strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites.
The officials said the U.S. passed strong messages to Israel and the Saudis that the Americans control radar capabilities over the skies of Iran and that no strike should be launched without permission from the Obama administration.
It was unclear whether the purported visit to Saudi Arabia by Israeli military and intelligence officials signals any real preparation for a strike or if the trip was meant to signal the West that Israel retains the right to defend itself.

In an acerbic interview shortly before the Geneva interim deal was signed, a senior Saudi diplomat issued a rare direct threat to Iran, warning that “all options are available” should the international community fail to rein in Iran’s alleged drive to acquire nuclear weapons.
The statement from Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi ambassador to London, came as talks between Iran and the P5+1 group of world powers were in full swing in Geneva.

In his interview with the Times of London (paywall) on Friday, Prince Mohammad also voiced unusually abrasive criticism of the West for what he said was a too-soft approach to Iran, calling Washington’s “rush” to engage with Tehran “incomprehensible.

“Appeasement hasn’t worked in the past, and I don’t think it will work in the 21st century,” he was quoted as saying. “That is why the frustration really is toward the main players within the United Nations Security Council, that’s their responsibility. And they will share also the blame, whatever deal comes out, they are responsible for it.”

The prince, a nephew of Saudi King Abdullah, invoked the prospect of a confrontation with Iran, saying, “We are not going to sit idly by and receive a threat there and not think seriously how we can best defend our country and our region.”
He would not deny a report to the effect that one of the West’s greatest fears – a regional nuclear arms race – is already in play, with Saudi Arabia inking a deal with Pakistan to acquire nuclear weapons, only saying, “Let’s just leave it there, all options are available.”

No, the provisions of the interim deal signed in Geneva with Iran early Sunday are not themselves disastrous. If the US and other world powers had been negotiating a contract with a dependable and credible interlocutor, the deal might make a certain amount of sense. The problem is that Iran is not a dependable or credible interlocutor. It is, rather, a cunning and deceptive adversary, and the US has let it off the hook.

The problem is that Iran has never acknowledged that it is in fact marching to the bomb. And these interim arrangements, concluded at a moment when the regime felt itself to be under unprecedented economic pressure, a moment of maximal leverage, scandalously failed to require Iran to admit to those two decades-plus of lying and deception.
Instead, the United States, the free world’s only hope of thwarting Iran, appears to have convinced itself that this admission of duplicity, this Iranian confession that it has been developing nuclear weapons, can be extracted over the coming six months as negotiations move ahead on a permanent accord. Unfortunately, disastrously, that’s just not going to happen.

...such a comprehensive deal will require the exposure of those elements of the Iranian program — such as the Parchin military complex, where the IAEA believes Iran has carried out extensive nuclear weapons-related activities — that the regime has insistently shielded from international view.

Sorry, folks, but the Iranians will not be spending the next six months dutifully preparing to take the IAEA on a tour of all the facilities they have been lying about — dutifully detailing the bomb-making activities they carried out here, the explosives-testing they undertook there — en route to the dutiful dismantling of their entire military nuclear enterprise

The Iranian regime has always done everything in its power to avoid that moment of reckoning. And the US has now let if off the hook.

Instead, the Iranians can be utterly relied upon to spend the next six months, and a whole lot longer, arguing over the terms of the interim deal, pushing their own interpretations of what’s been agreed, while seeking every means to further ease the economic pressure they’re under. As Landau notes, the seeds of years of potential disagreement have already been sown in that there doesn’t even appear to be an agreed text of the interim deal; Iran and the White House have released different versions, with significant differences.

Surrounded by Iran-backing Russia, amoral China and the impotent Europeans, facing an Iran playing very smart cards from a very weak hand, the United States didn’t merely blink in Geneva. It closed its eyes.
The wall of sanctions is cracked now, and the crack will widen. Self-interested nations and hard-nosed businesspeople will see to that. The pressure is lifting. There’ll be no comprehensive deal six months from now — no deal, that is, that exposes and dismantles Iran’s nuclear weapons program. The Iranians are sighing with relief.
