Headlines From The Epicenter

Just a few headlines today that may be of interest:



Still the clock is ticking. Whatever arrangements Jerusalem made with Washington D.C. are reaching the end. Netanyahu is often timid, but he isn’t stupid. The only thing that might still be slowing him down is the possibility that the elections will swap out Obama for a less hostile figure, but waiting until a new administration gets settled in would take too long.

As the clock counts down to zero, the only real element that matters is the atoms of political courage that have to reach critical mass for a strike that will either cripple or destroy Iran’s nuclear ambitions to take place.


Noble Energy and the Delek Group announced on Sunday another significant discovery of a natural gas field off the coast of Haifa.




Iran is conducting yet more military exercises in the Straits of Hormuz. Iranian officials said that the exerciseswere in response to a European boycott of Iranian oil, and that Iran would not “submit” to Western pressure against it. The new exercises, the official said, were aimed at preparing Iran for a battle against a “hypothetical enemy.”

Revolutionary Guards official makes warning as military exercise kicks off in southern Iran, says "any spot used by the enemy for hostile operations will be subjected to retaliatory aggression."
