Seeing Beyond Politics As We Approach The End Of The Age

To understand today's world, we have to understand the bigger picture. As we approach the end of this age, the usual rules no longer apply. Here, 'usual rules' refers to the political spectrum that appeared to represent concepts such as: conservative values vs liberal values, capitalism vs communism, east vs west, right vs left, democrat vs republican, etc.

That paradigm no longer exists, and viewing the world in this way will only mask the reality of the situation.

Much bigger issues are in play now - spiritual issues - and the usual 'politics' that we now see are simply manifestations of the underlying war that is being fought as we approach the end of this age.

We have been abundantly warned by the prophets.

Despite the fact that socialism/communism has killed millions upon millions of ordinary citizens in brutal fashion and suppressed human freedom in horrific, unimaginable ways, we continue to see movements towards and a desire for this form of totalitarianism. This fact is difficult to believe - it is difficult to believe that anyone could be so painfully deceived, but we must understand that such beliefs are deeply rooted in spiritual blindness.

The only explanation for this - that is - for anyone to ignore the realities of totalitarianism and to actually embrace such - must lie within the spiritual realm. There is simply no other explanation.

This effort will not only succeed, it will reach a pinnacle for a seven year period and this period will mark the worst that totalitarianism has to offer:

"For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now - and never to be equaled again." (Matthew 24:21)

Once again, what we are seeing today is the road being paved directly into the Tribulation, with all of the lies, deceit, distortions, etc., that accompany this road-paving process.

We have reached a point in history where political solutions are in vain. It is too late. We are too close to the beginning of the Tribulation. The spiritual war is on.

The only solution at this late hour will be Jesus' return to earth to reclaim what is His - and He will set up His 1,000 year reign on earth. Those who will be left - after surviving the Tribulation and having found and accepted Christ - will see the stark contrast between totalitarianism as led by humans and Jesus' reign.

2 Thessalonians captures this concept best:

"God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed."  (2 Thessalonians 1:6-10)

Fortunately, we are just seeing the beginnings of what is to come - and what is to come is the antichrist. It is clear now that the antichrist will be fully embraced by those who now call for a marxist form of totalitarianism. They will get everything that they now wish for and embrace - in a bigger way than ever imagined.

"...the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God...And how you know what is holding him back so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so until he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.

They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved." (2 Thessalonians 2:3-10)

With that in mind, we turn to the news of people embracing totalitarianism and unwittingly embracing spiritual blindness:

Another glaring example is the still widespread idea that socialism – or rather, communism (i.e., full-scale socialism as opposed to its milder 'democratic' version) – would be 'the best possible system of social and economic organization if only it were implemented correctly', or the variant ' … if only human nature were different and we were morally more advanced than we actually are'.

The main problem with this train of thought is that it is actually completely wrong. When confronting supporters of socialism with the total failure and murderous nature of the communist system in the real world, a common retort is that 'this wasn't real socialism'. In other words, if Lenin, Stalin, Mao and their followers had only implemented everything according to the precepts of Karl Marx, then things would have been perfectly fine, and the communists would have erected a king of land of Cockaigne.

However, not only did they in fact follow the precepts laid down by Marx and Engels, but even if e.g. Stalin had been a veritable angel, the system would still have failed. Socialism is literally impossible as Mises has already proved in 1920. In brief: it is a system in which rational economic calculation becomes impossible, because there are no longer prices for capital goods once private property in the means of production is abolished. A system bereft of economic calculation can no longer allocate scarce resources efficiently. It cannot really be called an economy anymore. It a system that is doomed to break down in short order...

Had the whole world become socialistic, the economy and division of labor would have completely collapsed within a few years and people would have been forced to return to a hand-to-mouth existence, barely able to subsist. Life would once again have become 'nasty, brutish and short'.

In other words, it seems quite important that people really understand why socialism cannot work. After all, bad ideas have a habit of coming back after a while and an example for this has just been delivered via an editorial in the 'Rolling Stone', penned by one Jesse A. Myerson, a former 'Occupy' movement organizer.

At first many people mistakenly thought it was meant to be a satire, but it soon turned out it actually wasn't. On Twitter, Myerson runs the hashtag #FULLCOMMUNISM (anything less than the 'full' version apparently won't do), so there can be no doubt as to his ideological proclivities.

Anyway, in his article, couched in 'hip' language (the word 'blow' or 'blows' is used frequently, as in e.g. 'work blows'), he argues that millennials should make five economic demands, namely:

1. Guaranteed work for everybody, 2. a basic income for everybody (he calls that 'social security', but he actually means that everybody should get a government salary in exchange for – nothing. Being able to fog a mirror is sufficient reason), 3. the expropriation of landowners (it is not 100% clear if he merely argues for a Georgist land tax or full-scale expropriation), 4. the abolition of private property and nationalization of the means of production, and 5. a 'public bank in every state'.

So essentially, this leader/hero of the 'Occupy' movement proposes an economic program that is a jumbled mixture of Marxism/Stalinism, Georgism and National Socialism. Whoa!

One of the more interesting conversations revolved around the accusation that what he proposed amounted to a defense of the system practiced by the Soviet Union. Since it has clearly failed there, there was really nothing left to discuss.

As one might expect, Myerson retorted that of course, the Soviets never implemented his demands. In other words, the leftist trope that the 'communists never really tried communism' was predictably dug up by him. If only they had done so, they would of course have succeeded, so the story goes.

However, keep in mind that as time passes, the ignominious collapse of the communist system will become an ever more distant memory. In fact, that such an article is published at all is already a sign that this is happening. It is also concerning that the idea that communism would be just fine if only implemented correctly continues to be held by so many people. This is a result of widespread economic ignorance. It is more important to challenge the ideas propagated by Myerson on theoretical grounds than by merely citing historical events. Only if it is widely understood by people that socialism is indeedimpossible will the danger posed by the Marxist ideology truly be banned.

Trevor Loudon’s latest book, The Enemies Within, is a book everyone should own. It contains invaluable reference material on communists and communist sympathizers in our government today. The many profiles in communism contained in the book will leave you stunned.

It outlines the workings behind modern communism and how it impacts your life, every single day.

This book gives one a clearer understanding as to how a minority of extremists can win on all the big issues. We need to know who the enemy is if we hope to defeat him, and this is the ultimate reference book.

You can order it from the Pacific Freedom Foundation. I’m not getting paid for this. It is something I believe in. I didn’t make my decision until I read the book.
The Enemies Within is not hyperbolic, it is well-researched and it’s factual.
It is not PC to call communists communists but we need to start.

Trevor Loudon says it is way beyond that. Obama’s model is based on Lenin and it’s Czechoslovakia in the 1940?s. It is is more like Cuba or Venezuela under Hugo Chavez. This is a communist takeover.

FYI, Leninism is the theory and practice of proletarian revolution as developed by Lenin. A proletarian revolution is a social revolution in which the working class attempts to overthrow the bourgeoisie. Proletarian revolutions are generally advocated by socialists, communists, and most anarchists.

Where are the patriots in our government who would protect us? Where are the whistleblowers?

Even after the secret deals revealed by several outlets including The Washington Timesbetween President Barack Obama and the Islamic Republic of Iran, President Obama continues to urge the international community and American people to place trust in the Iranian regime regarding its nuclear ambitions and economic sanctions. It is crucial to examine some of the recent underlying human rights records in Iran, which have surprisingly not elicited any criticism from the liberal politicians, and have gone untold in the liberal media. This raises an intriguing issue, as President Obama has not mentioned or even condemned the Islamists in Tehran for this appalling human rights record.

Although the new Iranian government has tried to project a moderate picture, and although President Obama seems to believe in the charm offensive of this Islamist state, recent human rights reports show that there has been no improvement in the Iranian regime’s human rights records. In fact, the situation has deteriorated under the new Iranian government. In addition to the continued persecution of minorities and non-Muslims, the recent appalling human rights records have shown an upswing in stoning and public executions, reminiscent of the Islamic Middle Ages and Sharia laws.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is ranked second in the total number of executions, only after China. Though, if the proportion of the total population to the number of secret executions were considered, Iran would be ranked number one. According to the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, at least 529 people have been put to death in cities across the nation in 2013. Intriguingly, more than half of these executions, around 300, were carried out since President Rouhani assumed office in late August. Meaning that more than half of the executions were carried out in only the past four months.

It is also worth mentioning that most of the people who are executed, did not receive due process in court, and were mainly executed because of violations based on Islamic and Sharia law. Many of Iran’s condemned were accused of being a “Moharebeh” or “Mofsed fi Alard”, translated as meaning something near “waging war” against God and Islam.

Recently, the European Parliament delegation returned from a six-day visit to Tehran, marking the first official visit to Iran in more than six years. The five-member delegation was led by the chairwoman of the European Parliament’s friendship delegation with Iran, an MEP for the Left party Cornelia Ernst, Austrian Social Democrats Isabelle Durant and Josef Weidenholzer, and Tarja Cronberg from Finnish Greens.  During their five-day visit, at least 38 death sentences were carried out, according to Iranian media sources. Many other executions in prisons were conducted in secret, with no news were released.

Nevertheless, the crucial issue is that there has been no condemnation or criticism issued by any liberal politicians in the delegation or from mainstream media. Instead, the liberal media and politicians continue to praise the new Iranian government for its charm offensive and “moderate” policies.
