This is a question many have been pondering and the answer is actually pretty easy. We can first turn to some easy logic.
We know from the detailed descriptions of the Tribulation, as taken from Revelation 6-18, that the antichrist will rule "every tribe, people, language and nation" under a totalitarian form of world-wide government.
We also know from history (all supporting articles/data given below) that in every case of a totalitarian government, one of the early acts was to confiscate guns/weapons, in order to render the population subject to the totalitarian regime.
Therefore, connecting the dots above, the antichrist would have a difficult to impossible time ruling over the U.S. if draconian gun control measures weren't taken at some point on the continuum leading into or during the Tribulation (let us hope these measures are post rapture scenarios).
So the issue of gun control in America is prophetically related and worthy of discussion.
Additionally, pay close close attention to the upcoming debates on gun control and note which side uses fact and which side uses emotion, while completely ignoring the facts.
First, some facts:
In each of these instances given, the citizens were unarmed and thus unable to protect themselves from a tyrannical government. Additionally, we know from Jesus' very words that the Tribulation will be a period of "...great distress, unequalled from the beginning of the world until now - and never to be equaled again." Therefore the examples below are just foreshadowing of the coming Tribulation:
*Under Lenin and Stalin, the Soviet government became the greatest mass-murderer in history. Lenin's collectivization and purges of 1921-1922 caused 4 million deaths. In 1932, Stalin ordered the Ukraine starved to enforce collectivization and crush Ukrainian nationalism. At least 8 million Ukrainians were murdered. Others resorted to cannibalism.
From 1917 to Stalin's death in 1953, the Soviet Union, worshipped by leftists around the world as the acme of human political accomplishment, shot, tortured, beat, froze or starved to death at least 40 million of its people. Some Russian historians claim the true figure is even higher. In an ugly spasm of deja-vu, Russian troops slaughtered 80,000 Chechen civilians over the past two years.
*In China, Great Helmsman Mao Zedong had 2 million 'class enemies' shot when the communists took control. Another million Tibetans and Turkestani Muslims were 'liquidated' from 1950-1975. During Mao's crazy Great Leap Forward, in which China's farmers were collectivized en masse, an estimated 30 million or more people starved to death. Another two million are said to have been killed in Mao's Cultural Revolution.Total: 35 million dead.
*Hitler was responsible for the deaths of 12 million civilians, half of them Jews. The Nazis exterminated people because of race; the communists because of class or nationality. Hitler killed with gas; Stalin with bullets, cold, and hunger.
Some two million German civilians were killed in 1945, and at least 200,000 died in communist concentration camps from 1945-1953. The victorious Allies handed back 2 million anti-communist Soviet citizens to Stalin in 1945: he had half shot, and the rest sent to Arctic death camps.
*During World War I, the Ottoman Empire slaughtered or starved up to 2 million Armenians, the first great genocide of the new century.
*In the early 1960's, 600,000 ethnic Chinese were massacred in Indonesia by government-encouraged mobs and soldiers.
*During the Marcos era in the Philippines, 75,000 Muslims were massacred by government paramilitary gangs.
*In 1971, Pakistani troops killed tens of thousands of Bengalis in former East Pakistan. Indian security forces and police have massacred great numbers of tribesmen in border regions, and many civilians in Kashmir and Punjab.
*In the 1980's, Ethiopia's marxist regime denied seeds to 'capitalist' farmers, causing a million people to starve to death.
*A half-century of tribal massacres between Hutu and Tutsi culminated in the recent slaughter of half a million Tutsi civilians by Rwanda's Hutu government.
*Serbia's nazi-nationalist regime conducted the massacre of 200,000 Muslim civilians in Bosnia.
There are many other examples. But just the figures cited above amount to almost 100 million deaths this century — deaths that were not caused by war or revolution, but by the conscious decision of tyrants, politicians, or bureaucrats to murder great numbers of their own people for reasons of ideology, religion, race or land.
Compare: 100 million people murdered by governments this century; 75% by communist regimes — to about 38 million killed in all wars and conflicts.
So let Cambodia's now almost forgotten Pol Pot remind us that big governments, particularly those driven by ideology and idealism, have been a greater menace than big armies, heavy armaments, — even nuclear weapons.
In fact, Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge killed five times more civilians than did atomic bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

1. 1911: Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
2. 1929: The Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million kulaks, peasants, and dissidents who were unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
3. 1935: Maoist China (Anita Dunn’s favorite guy) established gun control. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million people (est), unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, from 1975 to 1977, round up and murder OVER one million educated people, who could not be “reeducated”, were rounded up and exterminated. (This also can be linked to the DEMOCRATS in Congress betraying SVN and allowing them to fall to the commies and releasing the commies in Cambodia to go nuts.)
6. 1964: Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, without firearms, were rounded up and exterminated.
7. 1970: Uganda established gun control in 1970. In EIGHT YEARS, 300,000 Christians, oddly enough without firearms to defend themselves with, were rounded up and exterminated.
8. 1973: Friend of Obama and ghostwriter for Obama’s TWO autobiographies, William Ayers, domestic terrorist, murderer, and unrepentant terrorist, writes “Prairie Fire” wherein he states that upwards of 25 MILLION Americans will need to be “liquidated” because they won’t be able to be “reeducated.”
9. 1993. Life under an Imperial Federal Government run by Democrats, without firearms at our side, was previewed at Waco and with Elian Gonzalez in 2000.

We can also see and predict how quickly gun control is coming to America based on the recent school shooting - ignoring the facts that Connecticut already has strick gun control measures in place, ignoring the fact that the murderer did not use an "assault rifle" (whatever that term means - try to get someone to define that term. Good luck), and ignore the fact that the teachers were helpless due to the fact that the school was a "gun-free zone". Such facts muct be ignored by the gun-control zealots.
While the bureaucracy surrounding the ATT and gun control makes the rounds on Capitol Hill, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is preparing for the prospect of civil unrest in America.
Secretly, DHS have been taking bid for contractors who can install “aerial remote sensing” which uses light detection and ranging (LIDAR) that would be part of the unmanned drone missions within domestic US territory.
In the US Army Military Police Training manual specified for “Civil Disturbance Operations” the procedures for dealing with civilian riots, gun confiscation and the murder of Americans by US military in the name of continuity of government is outlined under the complete civil unrest scenario.
As well as Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the DHS, told a House Committee meeting on Homeland Security that the more than 30,000 drones that will be deployed into American skies are just arbitrarily watching out for US citizens.
The Federal Protective Service (FPS) has been given the responsibility to protecting federally owned property while preparing for civilian led riots expected in the near future. And part of the preparatory measures was an order of 150 sets of riot gear that was requested to be filled exponentially. The FPS is anticipating that police or military wearing the gear would encounter “blunt force trauma” to the upper torso, as well as potential beatings with “blunt objects”.
In June of this year, the US Army requested bids for riot gear, that was answered by A2Z Supply Corp, in which specified equipment was to be delivered to West Point Academy in New York.
In 2008, the report from the Army Times that the US military was reassigning troops arriving home from Afghanistan to serve domestically in homeland patrols which would be used during the necessity of maintaining order during an economic collapse.
The purpose of these patrol units was to aid “with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack” and provide “coordinate defense support of civil authorities” under NORTHCOM and other commands including federal homeland defense efforts.
The use of “nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them” will be part of the control measures, according to 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier.
The US government, under the guise of continuity of government, are preparing for controlling the American public under any circumstances necessary.
While the total disarmament of Americans with the eradication of the 2nd Amendment is part of the plan, it may not be necessary for them to enact their complete lock down of our nation. Currently, armed forces are training their troops to maintain civil order for national security purposes, even if that means firing on American civilians.
This is why the retention of the 2nd Amendment is so important. First they take our right to bear arms. Then they forcibly remove them from us. And at this point the full-blown tyrannical Fascist Dictatorship begins.
“The fear is what’s given us the reason to do this,” insistedTodd Stovall, the head functionary of the paramilitary occupation force afflicting Paragould, Arkansas, as he announced that the city would be placed under martial lawfor the supposed purpose of deterring crime.
“Once I have stats and people are saying they’re scared, we can do this. It allows us to do what we’re fixing to do.”
What Stovall and his fellow tax-feeders are “fixing to do” is to leave the city’s streets clotted with SWAT operators toting AR-15s and official permission to harass anybody who comes within eyeshot.
The marauders “are going to be in SWAT gear and have AR-15s around their neck,” grunted Stovall at a town hall meeting held last Thursday at the West View Baptist Church.
“If you’re out walking, we’re going to stop you, ask why you’re out walking, check for your ID.”
“We’re going to do it to everybody,” Stovall explained, anticipating objections. “Criminals don’t like being talked to.”
The same is true of citizens, of course — but like most members of his paramilitary tribe, Stovall divides the world between enlightened agents of State “authority” such as himself and the Mundane population, which is to be intimidated into submission.
Stovall insists that constitutional quibbles over probable cause don’t apply, because the “crisis” justifies imposition of a city-wide curfew and garrison state measures.
In reviewing all the breaking news over the last few months and looking for the “big picture” of where America is headed, one pattern has emerged with striking regularity: America has quietly become less free in many ways than nations like Cuba, China and even Venezuela.
This is especially true in California, where “justice” has become a joke, and the power of the state is unleashed in personal vendettas against innocent citizens who have done absolutely nothing wrong other than refuse to bow down to state-run tyranny.
In California, the most freedom-crushing region of America,a man was recently thrown in jail for four days for photographing police. Photographing or video recording police is not a crime if done in a manner that does not directly impede their actions. But California police simply don’t “like” being photographed, so they throw people in jail, without charge, and let them rot in California’s third-world prisons for a few days as a form of retaliation.
In another case, California’s raw milk man James Stewart has just been released from jail after being forced to sign a plea deal with L.A. County which accused him of the heinous crime of distributing unpasteurized milk. His punishment? Nearly four months in jail, being treated as a terrorist and denied nutrition to the point where he emerged looking like a Nazi war camp prisoner. The state then slapped on two felony charges, five years of probation, and a $300,000+ fine that the man has no way to pay because California raided his business at gunpoint, stole all his cash and then destroyed all the inventory of his business, including over $50,000 in fresh food.
This was all done, remember, for the “crime” of running a members-only club where people could pick up farm-fresh milk, eggs, cheese, melons and other better-than-organic foods. This is the new California, where the government literally destroys your business, your inventory, your livelihood, your freedom and even your health. It’s all done on a whim by truly evil prosecutors like Kelly Sakir, one of the many prosecutors who went after James Stewart using infiltration agents, hidden cameras and other Stasi-style tactics borrowed straight out of the Communist Party.
Consider this for a moment: There is greater food freedom in Russian, Cuba and even China than in California. The idea of arresting people for selling raw milk is unthinkable everywhere else in the world except the United States of America (the new global communist state of oppression). Throughout Mexico, Central America and South America, the idea of arresting people for selling fresh milk is considered total lunacy. But it’s now the status quo in America, the land of the previously free.
With his signing of the NDAA in late 2011, Obama also nullified due process and the right to a fair trial. Now, American citizens who are merely “named” by the White House as being possibly involved in anything they call “terrorism” can be kidnapped and taken away to secret government interrogation centers where they can be held indefinitely, without charge, without a trial and without any civil rights or human rights.
This was all put in place by a president re-elected by over 50% of the American people, cementing an obvious communist into the top position of what one Russian columnist calls an “illiterate society.”

President Vladimir Putin could never have imagined anyone so ignorant or so willing to destroy their people like Obama much less seeing millions vote for someone like Obama. They read history in America don’t they? Alas, the schools in the U.S. were conquered by the Communists long ago and history was revised thus paving the way for their Communist presidents. Obama has bailed out those businesses that voted for him and increased the debtto over 16 trillion with an ever increasing unemployment rate especially among blacks and other minorities. All the while promoting his agenda.
The TSA, meanwhile, has destroyed U.S. tourism by humiliating and molesting air travelers from all over the world who now refuse to come to America.

State representatives in Wyoming have advanced a “doomsday” bill that when passed will launch a study into what the state should do in the event of an economic collapse, martial law style scenario.
Wyoming House Bill 85 is essentially a state continuity of government plan that would study the impacts of the collapse of the dollar and the states ability to quickly set up an alternative currency.
Considering the fact that the military and the Department of Homeland Security both already have extensive plans in the event of a martial law situation, (which involve rounding up American citizens and putting them in FEMA Camps) Wyoming is only taking a logical step in following their lead yet one can only hope their plans are much less totalitarian in nature.

The situation in America is alarming
If America becomes too much hated for obvious reasons, their lack of knowledge about the general cultures of the world, spreading shallowness and misunderstanding with all countries. The ultimate nonsensical American belief that they are always right and everyone else is wrong, means that all countries would hate America.
The dollar will collapse, it is just a matter of time, as China and Japan could stop buying US bonds and switch to the Euro.
The consequences would be that all American Banks will close, all international countries would stop tradingcommercially with an already impopular America.

A public panique could ensue, because Americans will be revolting in the streets, demanding why their government betrayed them, but the US government already corrupted would have no other recourse to implement martial laws, and possibly hurt American civilians.
Of course, none of this should be surprising to a prophecy watcher. What is fascinating, is watching all of the various pieces of prophecy unfolding right before our very eyes: From the convergence of Israel's enemies in the Middle East - to the Iranian nuclear arms development - to the EU's constant movement to complete centralized power and control - to the increasing earth signs (earthquakes, etc.) - to the "Mark of the Beast" developments - to rapidly increasing Christian and Jewish persecution - to the rise of radical Islam - to the renewed rise of Russia under Putin's regime - to the "Arab Spring" which has ushered in power and control of Israel's surrounding enemies - to the world-wide pending economic collapse, paving the way towards a centralized currency and financial system (later to be controlled by the antichrist) - to increasing world-wide famine - to the attempts of the dividing of Jerusalem (and Israel) and Jerusalem's focus by world leaders - to the "the nations" aligned against Israel - and on and on this list goes ---> all marching directly into the tribulation period, so well described in biblical prophecy.
And as a part of this, America must somehow become folded up into the world-wide totalitarianism that is coming, as foretold in the prophetic scriptures and we are watching this process unfold.
It all has to be this way, after all God is in control and He has a plan which is being carried out.
As Jesus said to His believers in Matthew 24 - "...but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen..."
And more importantly:
"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is drawing near" (Luke 21:28)
"Even so, when you see these things happening, you will know that the kingdom of God is near." (Luke 21:31)

In the midst of all of this, there is massive hope for Jesus' believers - and as rapidly as we see the Tribulation approaching, we can also rest assured that the promised "gathering up" is also rapidly approaching.
