CNN: Poll: Most disapprove of Obama handling of ISIS
Washington (CNN)Americans are increasingly unhappy with President Barack Obama's handling of ISIS, and a growing share of the nation believes that fight is going badly, according to a new CNN/ORC survey released Monday.
The CNN/ORC poll found 57% of Americans disapprove of how Obama is handling the threat posed by ISIS, a significant decline in support for the President over the past few months. In late September, that number was 49%.
WNU Editor: The American public is probably right that the fight is going badly .... and these poll results reflect that opinion. And while a majority of the respondents want Congress to vote in support of the war resolution against the Islamic State .... when it comes to the details on what will need to be done .... the American public is divided on committing ground troops. On a side note .... half of the respondents in this CNN poll (51%) trust President Obama as the "Commander In Chief".
