Today at the UN

Today we have several interesting speakers at the UN. Libya's Moammar Khadafy will take the podium immediately after Obama gives his speech to the general assembly. As an interesting footnote to Moammar Khadafy is his quote from last year. When the Mediterranean Union formation was announced, Khadafy refused to join, because he stated that the Med Union was a "revival of the Roman Empire" (has he been reading prophecy related web-sites?). I found that fascinating at the time, and still do. Its interesting to see a "non-prophecy" person see the same thing that we do.

After these speeches, Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gives his speech in the afternoon. The delegations from Israel and Germany, where denying the Holocaust is a crime, have been organizing a walkout of Ahmadinejad goes off on one of his infamous rants. Recently, he has also been threatening any country (aka Israel) that threatens Iran's nuclear facilities and earlier this week he was once again denying that the Holocaust occurred - calling it a "myth".

So, today may be interesting indeed. There is no telling what may be said today. Ahmadinejad is usually good for some inflammatory remarks, not to mention his last speech in which he later stated that he was illuminated in a special light, and he also closed with a prayer for the coming Mahdi.

Interesting times indeed.
