Any problem in Syria will burn whole region," Syrian president tells 'Sunday Telegraph'

Western powers risk causing an "earthquake" that would burn the Middle East if they intervened in Syria, President Bashar Assad said in an interview with Britain's Sunday Telegraph newspaper.

"Syria is the hub now in this region. It is the fault line, and if you play with the ground you will cause an earthquake," he said.

"Any problem in Syria will burn the whole region. If the plan is to divide Syria, that is to divide the whole region," Assad said.

Assad's comments came as Arab ministers said on Friday they had sent an urgent message calling on him to end seven months of violence against civilians following the killing of 40 pro-democracy demonstrators by Syrian forces.

The prophetic implications are obvious. Something will trigger the battles leading to Isaiah 17 and ultimately Gog-MaGog.

The region continues to heat up by the day - soon enough the powder keg will be ignited.

On Oct. 20th, radical leftist and former domestic terrorist Bill Ayers appeared at and directed an Occupy Chicago teach in.

Just take a look at the video contained within this article for the Ayers "appearance".

The fact that Ayers is an admitted domestic terrorist who has openly planned to implement a socialist dictatorship in the United States as well as been a part of actual terror attacks in this country appears to not have been a problem for the “organizers” who attended the Occupy Chicago teach in.

(As in teaching angry protesters how best to transform America into a socialist country.)

Undercover police officer Larry Grathwohl infiltrated the Weather Underground and what he found and subsequently publicly revealed was nothing short of horrifying.

The group had planned to put at least 25 million Americans into reeducation camps(and killing those who didn’t “change”) as well as handing over large parts of America to countries such as Russia and China.

The Occupy Movement is largely being directed by individuals who openly support moving our country even further into a dictatorship.

We do need to charge the big banks for their numerous crimes as well as target the private federal reserve but, unfortunately, this movement seems to be moving farther and farther into the radical left.

Obama Announces Measures to Bypass Congress and Use Dictator-like Decrees

The Christian Science Monitor published a Staff Writer Linda Feldmann article titled “Obama looks to bypass Congress with help for homeowners, students” on October 24, 2011.

The article details the beginnings of a new pseudo dictator-like approach to getting action on bills that the United States Congress refuses, for the public good, not to act into law.

In other words, Obama is violating our laws by finding ways to bypass the United States Constitution the supreme law of our land.

Now he wants to expand his largesse with our tax dollars to include indebted students and “financially strapped” homeowners (is there any other kind)?

And doing it while bypassing congress. Kind of like what a dictator would do.

In other words, more bail outs! When will he ever wake up to the fact that HE is creating more and more “financially strapped” American households by stripping our beleaguered treasury resources to finance his spendthrift notions and gifts to corrupt labor unions?

Rumors of War: Israeli Prisoner Swap May Be Prelude To Attack On Iran

It is fascinating to see this article published in the Washington Times after seeing much speculation on this aspect by prophecy watchers:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to execute a 1,000-for-1 prisoner exchange last week despite his frequently voiced opposition to such lopsided deals is seen by several Israeli military commentators as an effort to “clear the deck” before possibly undertaking an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Amir Oren, the veteran military analyst for Ha'aretz newspaper, took note of Israel’s exchanging 1,027 Palestinian convicts for army Staff Sgt. Gilad Schalit, who had been captured by Hamas in 2006.

Mr. Oren wrote that the price paid by Mr. Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak “can be interpreted only in a context that goes beyond that of the Gilad Schalit deal.”

There is a historical perspective for this move as well:

He noted that Israeli leaders in the past have shown a readiness to absorb “a small loss” in order to attain a greater success, generally involving “some sort of military adventure.”

Mr. Oren also noted that, until recently, Mr. Netanyahu had faced opposition to attacking Iran from Army Chief of Staff Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi and Mossad intelligence chief Meir Dagan. Both retired earlier this year and have been replaced by men believed to hold a different view on Iran.

According to Israeli media reports, a shift in the Israeli government’s views on Iran might have prompted Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s Middle East visit in April:

His main mission was to pass on a warning from President Obama against any unilateral attack on Iran.

Below we see another revealing quote:

This week, Jerusalem Post military correspondent Yakov Katz wrote that, with the Schalit chapter behind it,

“Israel can now move forward to deal with some of the other strategic problems it faces in the region, such as Iran’s nuclear program.” Had Israel first attacked Iran, Hamas‘ patron, it would have endangered the Schalit deal, Mr. Katz said.

Although the prime minister failed to make any enduring mark on history during his previous term or so far during his present term, Mr. Netanyahu may see Iran as an opportunity to achieve his Churchillian moment, Mr. Oren wrote. “The day is not far off, Netanyahu believes, when Churchill will emerge from him.”

It does make sense that Israel wouldn't "leave a man behind" in the event of military action against Iran particularly given that Hamas (an Iranian based terrorist group) held the Israeli soldier, Gilad Schalit.

Additionally, the window of opportunity is closing for Israel to take preventative action as Iran inches closer and closer to having viable nuclear weapons; weapons that they would rapidly ship to the various terrorist groups in the region. Israel may have no other options than to attack Iran.

And if they do?

One could easily see yet another tipping point in the region - a tipping point that would trigger the last series of wars in the region, with the invasion of the Gog-MaGog alliance figuring prominently. Perhaps Iran would initially use their proxies (Psalm 83/Isaiah 17) in the "inner circle around Israel (Lebanon, Syria, West Bank, Gaza, Egypt etc.) to weaken Israel and rapidly follow this with the Gog-MaGog alliance attack.

Either way, war seems imminent in the epicenter - exactly as the prophetic scriptures have foretold.

Three prisoner swaps in one month? Bedouin Israeli Ouda Tarabin, who has been imprisoned in Egypt for 11 years now, will be returning to Israel next month as part of a prisoner swap with Israel, Kuwaiti daily al-Jarida reported Saturday.

According to a senior Egyptian official, Tarabin will be released after the Feast of Sacrifice, a Muslim holiday that will be celebrated in mid-November this year.

Its too early to tell what the extent of damage is because communications are nonexistent due to damage:

Only very few news facts are arriving out of the epicenter area. Main reason : no power (computers) and NO or very limited telcommunications (few cell phones)

The situation in Syria continues to heat up rapidly:

Syrian forces kill 24, protesters demand international protection

Syrian forces shot dead at least 24 civilians on Friday when they fired on demonstrators demanding international protection from President Bashar Assad's crackdown on seven months of unrest, activists and residents said.

Syria's opposition National Council has called for international protection. It has not explicitly requested military intervention, although street protesters have increasingly voiced that demand.

Most of the killings took place in the central cities of Hama, where Assad sent tanks and troops to crush dissent three months ago, and Homs, a center of increasingly armed opposition to his autocratic rule.

Gilad: Iran is Currently the Biggest Threat to Israel

Amos Gilad, Director of the Defense Ministry’s Diplomatic-Security Bureau, said on Friday that Iran is the biggest threat to Israel, and called on the government to prioritize the Iranian issue and take action, though he did not specify what action he thinks should be taken.

Gilad said that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was the first to hear intelligence that Iran is aiming for nuclear missiles and said, “Netanyahu sees this as a tremendous threat. The Defense Minister of Defense is also aware of the threat and understands that is a central threat.”

The next statement brings to mind a nation that is living "securely":

Despite the impending threat from Iran, Gilad noted that Israel is currently in very good shape in terms of security, perhaps in better shape than it has ever been.

Even in the face of this threat:

In his remarks on Friday, Gilad also addressed the threat emanating from the Hamas terror group, which currently controls Gaza. He hinted that Hamas wishes to expand its control.

“Hamas is part of the Muslim Brotherhood, whose vision is to establish an Islamic empire at the expense of other regimes, such as Mubarak and Assad,” he said, adding: “Hamas wants to take over Judea and Samaria and eliminate Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party.”

Hamas is also organized, financed and run by Iran.

Ever notice how all matters in the epicenter are unfolding exactly as the prophetic scriptures would indicate?

US considers unusual attack helicopter deal for Turkey

Remember Turkey's ongoing threats against Israel?

The Obama administration is consulting Congress on an unusual proposal to transfer US Marine Corps attack helicopters to Turkey, US officials said on Thursday, as Ankara tries to exact revenge for a major attack by Kurdish separatists.

Turkey, a NATO ally, has been seeking AH-1 SuperCobra helicopters to replace those lost in its long struggle against separatist rebels from the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK.

The officials declined to be identified because of the matter's sensitivity and because they were not authorized to speak on the record. The idea to take weapons from the US arsenal was rare, they said.

The proposal has been held up amid lawmakers' questions about increasingly distant relations between Muslim-majority Turkey and Israel, a key US ally, among other matters.

Syria sows mines along Lebanese, Jordanian, Turkish borders

In the last 48 hours, the Syrian engineering corps has laid minefields along the Jordanian, Turkish borders to cut down on the influx of weapons and armed manpower supporting the anti-Assad opposition and the outflow of army deserters.

The new Syrian minefield is intended to put a stop to this traffic.

Bashar Assad is reported by our sources to have started acting like a hunted man since Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi's violent death. Apparently haunted by that event, he fears the expanding volume of weapons smuggled into Syria is providing infrastructure for a NATO-backed Arab military operation in support of the uprising.

There has been no official comment from the Syrian government on Qaddafi's death, but opposition activists have gone to town on it. This week, they ordered demonstrators to turn out in force Friday, Oct. 28, and to call on NATO to declare Syria a no-fly zone to prevent its air force attacking rebels. That was how Western military intervention in Libyan began last March.

Don't forget - Assad has promised that any "outside intervention" would lead to Syria attacking Israel.

Top Muslim Institution Declares All Christians "Infidels"

To what extent was Egypt’s Maspero massacre, wherein the military literally mowed down Christian Copts protesting the ongoing destruction of their churches, a product of anti-Christian sentiment?

A video of Sheikh Ali Gomaa (or Gom’a), the grand mufti of Al Azhar, which began circulating weeks before the massacre, helps elucidate. While holding that Muslims may coexist with Christians (who, as dhimmis, have rights), Gomaa categorized Christians as kuffar — “infidels” — a word that connotes “enemies,” “evil-doers,” and every bad thing to Muslim ears.

Keep in mind that Al Azhar is the “chief center of Islamic and Arabic learning in the world.

As its grand mufti, Ali Gomaa represents mainstream Islam’s — not “radical Islam’s” or “Islamism’s” — position concerning the “other,” in this case, Christians. Regardless, many in the West hail him as a “moderate” — such as Lawrence Wright in a U.S. News article titled “Finding the Voices of Moderate Islam.” Wright describes him as “a highly promoted champion of moderate Islam”

The Facts of Life Are Conservative, Even in Zuccotti Park

Another article that could be entitled: "Reality and Fantasy Collide"; this article is a good read. Perhaps the demonstrators are actually receiving some important lessons about life in the real world.

Peeking through Occupy Wall Street's cloudy drum sessions, group speeches, and celebrity visits are a few rays of reality's sunlight. These glimmers of the real world show that even the campers of Zuccotti Park aren't immune to Margaret Thatcher's famous declaration that "the facts of life are conservative."

Conservatism is the natural political outgrowth from the real life experience.

But because government isn't magic, utopias never quite work out in real life -- not even in Zuccotti Park. In one news story after another, Thatcher's "facts of life" are on display. Let's look at four examples.
