How Iran Is Helping Assad Suppress Syria's "Arab Spring"

Iran has been backing Damascus since the beginning of the Syrian civil uprising, some four months ago. Tehran has provided security and propaganda assistance, accusing the US and the West of attempting to overthrow the Assad regime under the guise of a false ‘Arab Spring’, according to IDF Lt. Col (ret.) Michael Segall, an expert on strategic issues with a focus on Iran and terrorism and a senior analyst at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.

In a position paper written for the center, he described how Iran is taking advantage of the ‘Arab Spring’, or the ‘Islamic awakening’ to disseminate the Islamic revolution ideologies of Ayatollah Khomeini to the Arab world in upheaval.

"Resistance will continue until Iran sends its enemies to the morgue," he said on his website, making a reference to the US and Israel who he said are "on the verge of collapse and gasping for their last breathes."

New Terror Report Warns of Insider Threat to Utilities

Sabotage by an insider at a major utility facility, including a chemical or oil refinery, could provide al Qaeda with its best opportunity for the kind of massive Sept. 11 anniversary attack Osama bin Laden was planning, according to U.S. officials.

A new intelligence report from the Department of Homeland Security issued Tuesday, titled Insider Threat to Utilities, warns "violent extremists have, in fact, obtained insider positions," and that "outsiders have attempted to solicit utility-sector employees" for damaging physical and cyber attacks.

Elenin Updates

You have to admit that the information circulating around the whole "Elenin" comet/brown dwarf issue is one of the most confusing and difficult to grasp scenarios we have seen in a long long time. Who knows what to believe. I assume we're all updated on Elenin and the potential ramifications - from a small comet which will have no effects on earth, to a large brown dwarf which could have an enormous impact on life as we know it.

We probably won't have definitive answers until sometime in late August - early September when it will be close enough to have undeniable facts/evidence of what it really is and what it will really do.

In the meanwhile, we're left with rumors and reports which may or may not be true.

Here are some of the latest reports that are in circulation (again, under the heading of "who knows what is true?").

NASA, White House, operatives pushing psyops meme around Comet Elenin

A subtle psyops – psychological warfare operation – intended to engender public fear and apprehension around Comets Elenin, Levy and Honda (all expected to pass near Earth in the Fall of 2011) may be part of a future false flag environmental war attack on specific human settlements and populations using the HAARP-Chemtrails tectonic and weather warfare system

Wow. Well, thats a new twist on this whole thing - one that I certainly hadn't considered previously.

Statements by NASA officials, the White House, and specific statements falsely attributed to operatives formerly associated with NASA such as Richard C. Hoagland infer or explicitly state that Comet Elenin’s near passage to Earth may create an “extinction level event (ELE)”.

This is worth posting and commenting on - because we can categorically rule this possibility out, as we know from biblical prophecy that there will be no "extinction level event" to hit the earth. One advantage to having prophecy knowledge.

The focus then shifts to a so-called "White House letter":

White House letter: Smoking gun that Elenin is a threat or Psyops promoter?

On Oct 15, 2010, the White House issued a letter highlighting the hazards of near earth objects including comets. One fair interpretation of the White House letter is that its timing may be part of the Comet Elenin psyops.

One source that is reporting on the White House promotion of the Comet Elenin psyops as though it were a genuine threat states,

"In latest development now we learns 10 page letter is already out on the web since October 2010, which proves that US NASA and the White House know about ELENIN and consider it “a real threat” (On October 11, 2011 Elenin will be only 0.246au away from Earth; that’s a quarter of the distance to the sun.) it`s possible even more dangerous against earth than we understand.

"The terminology used in this letter, along with several other facts that have emerged in the time since the letter was written, lead us to believe that our 'shadow' government and elements within NASA have long known that anticipated effects of the arrival of Comet Elenin would indeed be much greater than they are telling the public

In fact, we believe that the White House letter below may be the 'smoking gun' to help prove that the government indeed does know that the potential consequences facing planet Earth from this comet will be far more disastrous than what they are “officially” telling the public.

Readers can watch a video interview in which Leonid Elenin, a 29-year-old Russian astronomer on the staff of the International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC), comes out publicly on Russian TV to debunk the catastrophe psyops circulated by entities such as NASA, the White House. In this interview, among other facts, Mr. Elenin states that the photographic effects around Comet Elenin that have been interpreted by a number of analysts including Richard C. Hoagland and Dr. Michael Salla of the Exopolitics Institute as UFO spacecraft are in fact effects caused by photographic artifacts and not evidence of extraterrestrial UFOs following Comet Elenin, or evidence that Comet Elenin is a piloted UFO craft.

Mr. Elenin also states in the interview that a false Facebook account was opened under his name and that this account has been instrumental in promoting the Comet Elenin catastrophe psyops.

This reporter Alfred Lambremont Webre has previously reported on the deep interpenetration of Facebook and the total information access program of the U.S. Department of Defence, raising questions as to whether the false Facebook identity may be part of a covert black budget strategy around Comet Elenin to create the conditions for a another false flag environmental war attack on the heels of the March 11, 2011 Fukushima tectonic warfare attack, triggered by the HAARP-chemtrails weapons system.

This entire premise - that the most ominous news around Elenin is part of an overall strategy involving "psyops" is an interesting twist which should be considered along with all of the other theories circulating. In conclusion to this long article we see this:

There appears to be a concerted effort by a command and control network within NASA, the White House, and amongst information operatives creating false statements by individuals like Richard C. Hoagland to create a fear-based psyops around Comet Elenin. Functionally, the psyops appears to be attempting to create a collective fear or “buy in” by some portion of humanity of coming comet-caused catastrophe. This fear or meme may be necessary to carry off a planned Fall 2011 false flag catastrophe incorporating the symbology of destructive comets, the Mayan calendar and an End of the World motif.

The Watchers


Predictably, in these last days, we see potentially huge events which could affect planet earth - but along with that are a vast array of confusing, conflicting and contradictory news stories making the truth almost impossible to find.

We will have our answers during the September-October-November time frame. But even with that - the question could become: "Did these large earthquakes and ______ (fill in the blanks here...Volcanos? Tsunamis?) occur because of Elenin or from man-made catastrophe (HAARP?) with malevolent intent?"

Who knows. If nothing else, this story will continue to grow as we approach those critical months.

It is fascinating to watch the developments within the EU. They seem to be just on the brink, and headed for either some kind of a break-up (at least the eurozone) or further consolidation of centralized power. Either way, it appears that changes are on the way. Which way will this go?

Plans by the elite to use the growing debt crisis engulfing the eurozone to push through an EU treasury, tax system and bigger debt pool are meeting tough resistance from the people in Germany, where scepticism about the euro and the bankster bailouts has reached new heights.

It looks like the power people in the EU see these crises as opportunities to further consolidate power. Similar to what we are seeing in the U.S.

Thanks in large part to the independent media, a critical mass of people in Germany and elsewhere across Europe have come to understand that the eurozone bailouts are a subterfuge for transferring the wealth of tax payers to American, German and French banks under the pretext of having to make interest payments on fractional-reserve, paper banking debts. Financial expert Dirk Müller is even a predicting popular uprisings to end the euro experiment.

Thus far, however, those who desire a stronger centralized EU government have been winning this battle.

This grassroots opposition in Germany is making it impossible for the elite arrogantly to alter the political and financial architecture of the EU in summits to enable it to become a financial super state collecting taxes without any accountability to voters.

We'll see.

Eurozone debt crisis could prove 'very costly' for the world, warns IMF

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has urged eurozone leaders to take immediate action over the region's debt crisis, warning it could prove "very costly" for the world.

And below is a very telling quote:

Europe's policymakers must press on with deeper economic integration to "stay the course", the global lender said ahead of Thursday's crunch summit of eurozone leaders.

"To put the crisis behind, we need more Europe, not less. And we need it now," said Antonio Borges, director of the IMF's European department, as it released its assessment of the turmoil.

On Tuesday night, diplomats in Brussels were warning of "bedlam" unless a deal is "more or less" sealed on Thursday.

The crisis around Greek debt now poses "serious risks" that it will infect the region's core powerhouse economies, such as Greece and France, even if officials pursue a strategy aimed at avoiding a default by Athens, the IMF said.

If the crisis were to spread to the core euro area, this could have "major global consequences", the IMF said. "Decisive further policy actions to contain the crisis are critical not only for the euro area itself, but also from a global perspective.

Barroso lays down the line for EU summit

Amid continued uncertainty over whether Thursday's summit will be a success, European commission president Jose Manuel Barroso has stepped into the breach with a list of five must-do tasks for eurozone leaders to achieve at the emergency meeting.

Calling on the 17 eurozone countries to "show European responsibility", Barroso said that the summit must at a "minimum" provide clarity on a second bailout for Greece and on the "feasibility and limits" of private sector involvement.

A summit without a response will mean "negative consequences will be felt in all corners of Europe and beyond".

Barroso is the first leading EU politician both to spell out the seriousness of the eurozone crisis, which lately has been lapping at the heels of Spain and Italy, and what is needed as a response.

Europe's leaders have finally run out of time. If they fail to agree on some form of debt pooling and shared fiscal destiny at Thursday's emergency summit, they risk a full-fledged run on South Europe's bond markets and a disorderly collapse of monetary union.

"We are heading towards fiscal union or break-up," said David Bloom, currency chief at HSBC. "Talk is no longer enough as the fire threatens to leap over the firebreak into Spain and Italy.

In essence, this is a soul-searching drama within Germany over its own national destiny and place in Europe, echoed in the Netherlands, Finland and even France. Europe's confusion reflects the schizophrenia of its ancient tribal nations, each faced with the fateful choice of crossing the Rubicon to an EU Treasury and joint government or letting the EU project unravel after half a century.

"We are approaching the endgame for this part of the European sovereign crises..."

The EU is clearly reaching a breaking point and one can only wonder if we are seeing the first stages of their development into the 10 kings stage. Either way, changes will be coming to the EU - whether it is more centralized power and growth or some kind of collapse. The changes appear to be coming rapidly, so we should have some answers relatively soon.

Iran says it's installing new nuclear enrichment machines

Iran is installing new uranium enrichment machines aimed at speeding up progress in its nuclear program, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday, a development that may add to Western concern about Tehran's aims.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast appeared to confirm a Reuters story last week that Iran was installing two newer and more advanced models of the centrifuges used to refine uranium for large-scale testing at a research site.

To repeat what I have said before - I believe Iran is desperately provoking Israel to attack, so that they will have an excuse to "counter-attack" and bring in their allies in the region under the premise that they are a "victim" to an Israeli attack. We shall see.

In addition, we now see AlJazerra carrying the story on Israel's imminent attack on Iran:

CIA veteran: Israel to attack Iran in fall

A longtime CIA officer who spent 21 years in the Middle East is predicting that Israel will bomb Iran in the fall, dragging the United States into another major war and endangering US military and civilian personnel (and other interests) throughout the Middle East and beyond.

Earlier this week, Robert Baer appeared on the provocative KPFK Los Angeles show Background Briefing, hosted by Ian Masters. It was there that he predicted that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is likely to ignite a war with Iran in the very near future.

Baer was especially impressed by the unprecedented warning about Netanyahu's plans by former Mossad chief Meir Dagan. Dagan left the Israeli intelligence agency in September 2010. Two months ago, he predicted that Israel would attack and said that doing so would be "the stupidest thing" he could imagine. According to Haaretz:

When asked about what would happen in the aftermath of an Israeli attack Dagan said that: "It will be followed by a war with Iran. It is the kind of thing where we know how it starts, but not how it will end."

The Iranians have the capability to fire rockets at Israel for a period of months, and Hizbollah could fire tens of thousands of grad rockets and hundreds of long-range missiles, he said.

Also note this aspect of the article:

There is almost "near certainty" that Netanyahu is "planning an attack [on Iran] ... and it will probably be in September before the vote on a Palestinian state. And he's also hoping to draw the United States into the conflict", Baer explained.

It should be noted that the Iranian regime is quite capable of triggering a war with the United States through some combination of colossal stupidity and sheer hatred. In fact, as Baer explained, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard would welcome a war. They are "paranoid". They are "worried about ... what's happening to their country economically, in terms of the oil embargo and other sanctions". And they are worried about a population that increasingly despises the regime.

They need an external enemy. Because we are leaving Iraq, it's Israel. But in order to make this threat believable, they would love an attack on their nuclear facilities, love to go to war in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and Iraq and hit us where they could.

Syria recognizes Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital

Big surprise here.

"Syria recognizes a Palestinian state within the June 4, 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital, and on the basis of the preservation of Palestinian legitimate rights," a statement said.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas began a visit to several European countries on Sunday to gather support for a UN vote on an independent Palestinian state.

According to the official Syrian News Agency (SANA), Abbas welcomed Syria's recognition of the Palestinian state and described it as "a major step which supports the Palestinian efforts to attain UN recognition in September."

Renewed Gaza fighting still going after a week

Violence between the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip and Israel has been quietly ratcheting up over the past week. Some fear the current rumblings are a prelude to another explosion of violence

Some Israelis fear the Palestinians could begin escalating the level of violence ahead of a Palestinian bid to [unilaterally declare statehood at the UN in September].

While that strategy would seem counterproductive, the international community has demonstrated time and again that its chosen method of dealing with Palestinian violence is appeasement.

Remember this (next) story? It still appears from time to time, and no (reasonable) explanation is ever given:

Mysterious big fish kill in Cape York river

The department says it received reports of about 1,000 dead fish floating in parts of the Normanby River, at the Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park, last week.

Most of the dead fish were barramundi and jewfish.

Samples of the fish have been tested and results are expected next week.

Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas is in Europe this week seeking to convince the Spanish and Norwegian governments to support the Palestinian bid to sidestep negotiations with Israel and have the UN General Assembly recognize Palestinian sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem in addition to Gaza.

Fatah's UN gambit, along with its unity deal with Hamas, makes clear that the time has come for Israel to finally face the facts: There are only two realistic options for dealing with Judea and Samaria.

Either the Palestinians will take control of Judea and Samaria, or Israel will annex them.

And with these two options in play, she proceeds to state what should be (but unfortunately isn't, to most of the world) obvious:

If the Palestinians take control, they will establish a terror state in the areas, which - like their terror state in Gaza - will use its territory as a starting point for continued war against Israel.

It isn't only Israel's experience with post-withdrawal Gaza and South Lebanon that make it clear that a post-withdrawal Palestinian-controlled Judea and Samaria will become a terror state. The Palestinians themselves make no bones about this.

Too bad the so-called 'international community' (aka "the nations") don't seem to understand this.

As bad as Israel's experience with post-withdrawal Gaza and South Lebanon has been, Israel's prospects with a post-withdrawal Judea and Samaria will be far worse. It isn't simply that withdrawal will invite aggression from Judea and Samaria. It will invite foreign Arab armies to invade the rump Jewish state.

This also seems obvious - simply because it has happened before.

Unlike the post-withdrawal situation with Gaza and South Lebanon, without Judea and Samaria, Israel would not have the territorial depth and topographical advantage to defend itself from invasion from the east.

Israel's destruction would be all but preordained.

Now we get to Option #2:

The second option is for Israel to annex Judea and Samaria, complete with its hostile Arab population.

...annexing Judea and Samaria holds unmistakable advantages for Israel. For instance, Israel would regain complete military control over the areas. Israel ceded much of this control to the PLO in 1996.

The Palestinian armies Israel agreed to allow the PLO to field have played a central role in the Palestinian terror machine. They have also played a key role in indoctrinating Palestinian society to seek and work toward Israel's destruction. By bringing about the disbanding of these terror forces, Israel would go a long way toward securing its citizens from attack.

No, annexation won't be easy. But then again, the alternative is national suicide.

There is much more to this article and it is well worth reading. Some of her conclusions include the following:

Since everyone except Israel and the US always accepted the establishment of a Palestinian state, and no one except Israel and the US always accepted the existence of the Jewish state, by making its own legitimacy dependent on Palestinian statehood, Israel started the clock running on its own demonization.

The longer Israel allows its very right to exist to be contingent on the establishment of another terror state committed to its destruction, the less the nations of the world will feel obliged to accept its right to exist.

Indeed. But God is placing Israel in the exact position that He desires - a position in which the entire world has turned against this tiny country - and they will have only God to turn to for deliverance from the surrounding enemies who are sworn to destroy and eliminate the Nation of Israel.

That fact can never be forgotten as we watch a united world gathering against Israel.

The good news is - God will deliver them from this apparent destruction and He will do so in a very big way. Just read Ezekiel 38-39 for the details.
