WNU Editor: As I grow older I am starting to appreciate how culture drives history, and how history has a tendency to repeat itself. And while I do not expect these past empires to rise to the level that they had attained in the past .... mini versions of these past empires now do exist .... and their leaders are fancying themselves to be the inherent leaders of these great states. As to whether the citizens in these "empires" want to do the necessary sacrifices to become "empires" .... on that I have some doubts.
